Why can’t you brush the matting out?
In line with the Animal Welfare Act, Good Dog will not subject any dog to extensive de-matting attempts as these can cause considerable pain and distress to the dog. There is a chance the skin underneath the matting may become irritated, Good Dog will be as careful as possible but it is important to know that the possibility of injury exists and that we will not be held responsible.

What if my dog gets stressed out during the groom?
If your dog is showing excessive signs of stress, I will stop the groom and allow them to free roam to reset for 5 minutes. If they return to a high-level of stress after this break we may have to stop the groom.
I will work with you to put a plan in place to ensure your dog has a less stressful experience for their next appointment.
